Hi! I’m Jillian, the Registered Dietitian and food lover behind Prevention Pantry. My background includes a strong foundation in nutritional science and public health, experience in clinical nutrition research, and a deep understanding of the relationship between food, body and mind.
My nutrition philosophy is rooted in balance and packed with fresh, whole foods full of big flavor. I firmly believe in an “all food fits” approach to nutrition – one in which food rules and rigid diets do not exist. I am passionate about empowering others to discover what their bodies need through a personalized and holistic approach towards nutrition.
Food is one of our most powerful tools in the prevention and management of disease. We also live in a culture where different diets and products are being marketed to us every day, along with endless and conflicting nutrition messages that make deciding what to eat stressful and confusing. My goal in working together is to remove the stress and confusion around food, to translate the science of nutrition in way that is easy to understand and applicable, and to support you in your personal nutrition and health journey.
I get it - making dietary and lifestyle changes can often feel overwhelming while managing a busy life and trying to weed through all of the mixed nutrition messages we receive on a daily basis. I am here to simplify this process by providing you with personalized nutrition support based on your social, cultural, religious, financial, and medical needs. Together we will focus on making balanced and sustainable changes that fit into YOUR life.
One of my favorite hobbies is creating simple, wholesome and flavorful recipes that promote health and happiness. I hope that by providing reliable nutrition information, customized nutrition plans and support, and inspiring real-life recipes, I can empower others to make thoughtful decisions about how to fuel their bodies – and to enjoy every bite!
Jillian Greaves is a Boston-based Registered Dietitian focusing on health and wellness through a holistic approach. Jillian holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from UMass Amherst, and a Master of Public Health Nutrition from Tufts University. She completed her 1200+ hour supervised dietetic internship at the University of Michigan, gaining experience in medical nutrition therapy, food service management and community nutrition. Jillian worked in clinical nutrition research at the USDA Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging at Tufts University where she assisted with the development and implementation of multiple clinical nutrition research studies. She sees clients both in-person and virtually in her private private practice in Boston. She also works at Boston Medical Center as an outpatient dietitian where she counsels patients with conditions such as obesity, diabetes, PCOS, heart disease and gastrointestinal conditions. Jillian is an active member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the Massachusetts Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the Weight Management Dietetic Practice Group, Dietitians in Integrative and Functional Medicine Practice Group and the Nutrition Entrepreneurs Practice Group.
